Parity for Nonnursing Services Under Long-term Managed Care Plans; Beginning on a specified date, requiring the Agency for Health Care Administration to reimburse nonnursing services provided by licensed providers at the same rate or higher than the rate it reimburses unlicensed providers for such services under the Medicaid long-term managed care program; requiring the agency annually to adjust the rate for licensed providers, etc.

Suicide Prevention for Active and Former Members of the United States Armed Forces, the National Guard, and their Reserve Components; Requiring a facility conducting an involuntary examination to include in its report to the Baker Act Reporting Center whether the individual examined is an active or former member of the United States Armed Forces, the National Guard, or their reserve components, etc.

Educational Facilities; Deleting a provision authorizing a school of hope to colocate with another school in a public school facility; deleting a provision requiring a school district to permit a school of hope to use an underused, vacant, or surplus school district facility; deleting a requirement for students enrolled in a school of hope to be included in the school district’s total capital outlay full-time equivalent membership, etc.

Use of Substances Affecting Cognitive Function; Requiring medical examiners to take specified actions when performing an autopsy on a decedent who is a violent offender; requiring that autopsy reports for such individuals include certain findings and information; authorizing the release of certain patient records to law enforcement agencies without patient authorization under certain circumstances; requiring school safety specialists to provide school district staff with certain training on the adverse effects of specified substances, etc.

Historic Cemeteries Program; Requiring local governments to approve applications from historic African-American cemeteries to change the land use category and zoning district of excess vacant land under certain conditions, etc.

Relief of Reginald Jackson by the City of Lakeland; Providing for the relief of Reginald Jackson by the City of Lakeland; providing an appropriation to compensate Mr. Jackson for injuries and damages sustained as a result of the negligence of Mike Cochran, a police officer with the Lakeland Police Department; providing a limitation on the payment of compensation and attorney fees, etc. CLAIM: $312,500

Whistleblower Protections for Employees and Independent Contractors of Property Insurers; Prohibiting property insurers, or their agents or affiliates, from taking adverse actions against employees or contractors for specified reasons; authorizing such employees or contractors to bring a civil action within a specified timeframe, etc.

Florida Museum of Black History; Establishing the Florida Museum of Black History Board of Directors; providing for the membership of the board; prohibiting specified members of the board from holding state or local elective office while serving on the board; requiring that the board work jointly with the Foundation for the Museum of Black History, Inc., etc.

Use of Professional Nursing Titles; Providing that licensed advanced practice registered nurses who hold specified degrees may use titles and abbreviations associated with those degrees in a specified manner; prohibiting such persons from holding themselves out to patients or prospective patients as a doctor in advertising without also clearly denoting their licensed profession, etc.

Storage of Handguns in Private Conveyances and Vessels; Providing requirements for storage of handguns in private conveyances and vessels; requiring law enforcement agencies to engage in a specified promotional campaign; requiring certain firearms education, safety, and training courses to include instruction on the requirements for storage of handguns in private conveyances and vessels; revising required warnings for transfer or sale of firearms, etc.
