Mount Olive Development Corporation - Senior Connection Senior Center Redevelopment; Provides an appropriation for the Mount Olive Development Corporation - Senior Connection Senior Center Redevelopment. APPROPRIATION: $500,000
Students with Disabilities in Public Schools; Prohibits use of seclusion on students; revises provisions relating to use of restraint on certain students; provides DOE, school district, school, & personnel requirements; provides for placement of video camera in specified classrooms; provides requirements for such placement; requires continuing education & inservice training for teaching students with emotional or behavioral disabilities.
Well-Care Examinations; Establishes requirement that certain children present certification of adolescent well-care examination each school year; requires district school boards & private school governing authorities to develop & enforce policy for such requirement; requires DOE, in consultation with DOH, to develop certification of adolescent well-care examination form.
Compensation for Wrongful Incarceration; Extends filing deadline for petition claiming wrongful incarceration; provides limited retroactivity for filing petition claiming wrongful incarceration; removes eligibility requirements relating to person's conduct before person's wrongful conviction or incarceration; authorizes state to deduct amount of civil award from compensation amount owed if claimant first receives civil award; requires claimant to reimburse state for any difference between state compensation & civil award if claimant receives statutory compensation prior to civil award; requires claimant to notify DLA upon filing civil action.
Minority Businesses; Requires DEO to establish revolving loan guarantee program; provides purpose of program; requires department to contract with certain entity to administer program.
Inmate Conditional Release; Revises conditional medical release program within DOC; establishes conditional aging inmate release program within DOC.
Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month; Recognizes September 2020 as "Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month" in Florida.
