Home Health Aides for Medically Fragile Children; Requires home health agencies to ensure tasks delegated to home health aides for medically fragile children meet specified requirements; provides individuals exemption from costs associated with specified training; authorizes home health aides for medically fragile children to perform tasks delegated by registered nurse; requires AHCA to conduct annual assessment of certified health aide program; requires agency to submit report to Governor & Legislature; requires agency to establish a specified fee schedule; provides appropriations. Driver License, Identification Card, and Motor Vehicle Registration; Revising the parties that may receive confidential crash reports to include law enforcement agencies and their contracted service providers; requires that motor vehicle registration form and registration renewal form and driver license or ID card application form, respectively, include option to make voluntary contribution to Best Buddies International; defining the terms "control" and "motor vehicle dealer's leasing or rental affiliate", etc.
Dental Services for Veterans; Establishes Veterans Dental Care Grant Program within DVA; specifies purpose of program; requires DVA to contract with direct-support organization to administer program; provides program funding is subject to legislative appropriation.
Abandoned and Historic Cemeteries; Creates Historic Cemeteries Program within Division of Historical Resources of DOS; creates Historic Cemeteries Program Advisory Council; authorizes certain entities to acquire conservation easements to preserve cemeteries; provides appropriations & authorizes positions. APPROPRIATION: $1,254,454
Individual Education Plans; Requires IEPs for certain students to contain information on legal rights & responsibilities that transfer to students at age 18; requires information to include ways in which student may provide informed consent to allow his or her parent to continue to participate in educational decisions.
Home Health Care Services Under the Medicaid Program; Authorizes AHCA to pay for attendant care nursing & private duty nursing services under Medicaid program under certain circumstances; exempts certain home health agencies providing only such services from Medicare certification or its accreditation equivalent.
Educational Support Employee and Paraprofessional Teacher Certification; Creates Growing Teachers from Within Pilot Program within DOE; provides purpose for pilot program; requires school districts to apply to department by specified date in order to participate in pilot program; requires Commissioner of Education to select participating school districts based on specified criteria to participate in pilot program; requires commissioner to coordinate with certain state universities; specifies eligibility requirements for participation by school employees in pilot program; requires funding for pilot program to be used in specified manner; requires participating school districts to submit report to commissioner on annual basis; authorizes State Board of Education to adopt rules.
Medicaid Eligibility for Young Adults; Requires AHCA, in consultation with Commission on Mental Health & Substance Abuse, to conduct study for specified purpose; provides requirements for study; provides duties for agency based on findings in study; requires agency to submit report of findings & recommendations to Governor & Legislature by specified date.
Fees/Art Therapy; Requires applicant for professional art therapist license & art therapist intern registration to pay nonrefundable application fee set by rule of Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, & Mental Health Counseling; provides for fees for annual license & registration renewal, inactive licenses, & license reactivation.
