Paid Parental Leave; Requires state to provide paid parental leave to certain employees for specified period of time; prohibits state from requiring that employee use his or her annual or sick leave for paid parental leave; provides that employee is entitled to accumulate specified benefits during such leave; prohibits state from refusing to grant such leave.

Music Therapy

Music Therapy; Creates Music Therapy Advisory Committee within DOH for specified purpose; authorizes committee to facilitate development of certain materials & act as facilitator of statewide dissemination of information between certain entities; requires committee to provide annual analysis of certain licensure data; requires department to seek advice of committee on issues relating to music therapy; requires department to issue license to practice as professional music therapist to applicants meeting specified criteria; specifies collaboration requirements for licensees engaging in practice of music therapy; beginning on specified date, prohibiting unlicensed individuals from using specified titles related to practice of music therapy; provides exceptions; authorizes unlicensed individuals meeting specified criteria to practice without license under supervision of licensed professional music therapist for specified timeframe; provides grounds for disciplinary action; authorizes department to conduct investigations of alleged misconduct.

Protective Injunctions and Protection Orders; Requires respondent to surrender to local law enforcement agency all firearms, ammunition, & licenses to carry concealed weapon or firearm after issuance of final judgment on injunction for protection against domestic violence; provides for surrender & storage of firearms, ammunition, & licenses to carry concealed weapon or firearm after issuance of protective injunction; requires law enforcement agencies to develop certain policies & procedures; provides for return of firearms, ammunition, & licenses to carry concealed weapon or firearm when protective injunction is vacated, terminated, or otherwise rendered no longer affective; authorizes respondent to elect to transfer all firearms & ammunition surrendered or seized by law enforcement agency to another person; revises criminal penalty for second or subsequent violation of injunction for protection against domestic violence or foreign protection order.

States of Emergency; Provides that state of emergency renewed by Governor expires within specified timeframe; authorizes Legislature to extend state of emergency under specified circumstances; provides that such extension is valid for specified timeframe; prohibits such timeframe from exceeding end of next regular session; requires Governor to immediately issue certain executive order or proclamation consistent with Legislature's concurrent resolution terminating state of emergency; prohibits Governor from declaring substantially similar state of emergency under specified conditions; requires AG to update quarterly specified audit, rather than annually.

Auxiliary Containers; Defines "auxiliary container" and "single-use"; removes obsolete provisions; preempting regulation of auxiliary containers to state; provides exceptions; requires DEP to develop uniform ordinance for use and disposition of single-use, nonrecyclable auxiliary containers; provides requirements for development of such ordinance; requires that sale or distribution of single-use plastic auxiliary containers on lands managed by Division of Recreation & Parks of DEP be eliminated to greatest extent possible; prohibits use, sale, or distribution of certain single-use auxiliary containers on such lands; requires department to develop and make available on its website statewide Marine Debris Reduction Plan; provides requirements for such plan; removes s. 500.90, F.S., relating to regulation of polystyrene products preempted to DACS.
