Regulation of Presidential Libraries; Prohibits counties, municipalities, or other political subdivisions from adopting or enforcing certain local ordinances, regulations, rules, or policies regarding presidential libraries unless authorized by federal law.
Real Property and Land Use and Development; Authorizes board of county commissioners & governing body of municipality, respectively, to approve development of housing that is affordable on parcels owned by religious institutions; prohibits counties & municipalities, respectively, from requiring proposed multifamily development to obtain transfer of density or development units, requiring specified percentage of total square footage of mixed-residential projects be used for nonresidential purposes, restricting density of proposed development below highest density, restricting floor area ratio of proposed development below certain percentage of highest floor area ratio & restricting height of proposed development below highest height; requires counties & municipalities, respectively, to reduce parking requirements by specified percentage; prohibits counties & municipalities, respectively, from imposing or enforcing certain building moratorium; requires local government to designate certain property as historic by adoption of local preservation ordinance; establishes state policy to support affordable workforce housing for employees of health care facilities & governmental entities.
Property Rights; Specifies requirement for complaint to remove an unauthorized person from residential real property; authorizes commercial property owner or agent to request sheriff to immediately remove persons unlawfully occupying real property if specified conditions met; specifies requirements for sheriff upon receipt of complaint; authorizes sheriff to arrest unauthorized person for legal cause; provides that sheriffs are entitled to specified fee for service of notice to vacate; authorizes owner or agent to request that sheriff stand by while owner or agent takes possession of commercial real property; prohibits person from unlawfully detaining or occupying or trespassing upon commercial real property & intentionally causing specified amount of damage; prohibits listing or advertising for sale, or renting or leasing, real property under certain circumstances.
Holocaust Remembrance Day; Requires Governor to proclaim specified day annually as "Holocaust Remembrance Day"; authorizes "Holocaust Remembrance Day" to be observed in this state's public schools & be observed by public exercise as Governor may designate; authorizes specified instruction.
Criminal Offenses Against Law Enforcement Officers and Other Personnel; Revises provisions concerning assault or battery upon specified officers; provides for enhanced punishment for additional offenses when committed against specified officers; revises prohibition on use or threatened use of force to resist arrest or detention; revises provision concerning resisting, obstructing, or opposing specified officers.
Gulf of America; Requires state agencies to update geographic materials to reflect new federal designation of "Gulf of Mexico" as "Gulf of America"; & requires instructional materials & library media center collections adopted or acquired by certain entities on or after specified date to reflect new federal designation of "Gulf of Mexico" as "Gulf of America".
Kidney Disease Awareness Month, Florida Kidney Day, and World Kidney Day; Recognizes March 2025, as "Kidney Disease Awareness Month" , March 10, 2025, as "Florida Kidney Day", & March 13, 2025, as "World Kidney Day" in Florida.
Professional Licensing Requirements for Barbers and Cosmetologists; Provides period of time when convictions, or any other adjudication, for crimes may not be grounds for denial of licensure as barber or cosmetologist; providing exception; requires applicable board to approve certain educational program credits; repeals provision prohibiting employment of certain individuals by licensed vendor.
Cybersecurity Incident Liability; Provides county, municipality, other political subdivision of state, covered entity, or third-party agent that complies with certain requirements is not liable in connection with cybersecurity incident; requires covered entities & third-party agents to adopt revised frameworks, standards, laws, or regulations within specified time period; provides private cause of action is not established; provides certain failures are not evidence of negligence & do not constitute negligence per se; specifies defendant in certain actions has certain burden of proof.
Interstate Safety; Prohibits driver from operating motor vehicle in furthermost left-hand lane of certain roadways except under certain circumstances; provides penalty.
