City of Homestead - Senior Citizen Programming; Provides an appropriation for the City of Homestead - Senior Citizen Programming. APPROPRIATION: $175,000
Fees in Lieu of Security Deposits; Authorizing a landlord to offer a tenant the option to pay a fee in lieu of a security deposit; requiring the landlord to notify the tenant of certain unpaid fees and costs within a specified time after the conclusion of the tenancy; prohibiting the landlord from accepting certain payments; specifying that landlords have exclusive discretion as to whether to offer tenants the option to pay a fee in lieu of a security deposit, etc.
Heat Illness Prevention in Outdoor Environment Industries; Requires certain employers to provide drinking water, shade, & annual training to employees & supervisors; requires DACS, in conjunction with DOH, to adopt specified rules.
Sales Tax Holiday for ENERGY STAR & WaterSense Products; Provides sales tax exemption for certain ENERGY STAR & WaterSense products during specified timeframe.
Land Acquisition Trust Fund; Provides annual appropriation to DEP to implement Florida Keys Stewardship Act by entering into financial assistance agreements with specified local governments for specified purposes; prohibits use of such funds to implement certain projects & programs.
Adults with Disabilities; Provides an appropriation for the Adults with Disabilities. APPROPRIATION: $150,000
Acceptance of Cash Payments by Businesses; Requires certain businesses to accept cash payments for services; prohibits fees or conditions for such transactions; provides exceptions, penalties, & rulemaking authority.
Tenant Safety; Revises what constitutes reasonable notice for repairs of dwelling units; requires operator of apartments to provide tenant or prospective tenant with certain background screening information; requires operator to provide tenant with list of employees or contractors & post such list on grounds of apartment or apartment's website; requires such operator to maintain, & make accessible to certain persons & during discovery, list that accounts for information for specified time period; requires licensee to provide Division of Hotels & Restaurants with certain information during its annual inspection.
Film, Television, and Digital Media Project Rebate Program; Creates Targeted High Wage Production Program within DEO; provides rebate eligibility requirements & application procedures; requires Commissioner of Film & Entertainment to review applications & take certain actions; requires annual report to Governor & Legislature; provides for expiration of program & reversion of appropriated funds.
Everglades Protection Area; Requires comprehensive plans & plan amendments that apply to certain lands within or near Everglades Protection Area to follow state coordinated review process; requires DEP to make determinations, consult, & coordinate with specified entities regarding such plans & amendments; provides additional limitation for compliance determination of such plans & plan amendments; prohibits & provides requirements for adoption of certain development amendments within Everglades Protection Area.
