Expunction of Criminal History Records; Expands exception to eligibility requirement for expunction of criminal history record to allow prior expunction of criminal history record granted for offense committed when person was minor; provides exception.
Property Assessed Clean Energy Program; Revises definition of "qualifying improvements" to include sewage treatment and seawall improvements.
Delivery of Nursing Services; Requires health care facilities to implement staffing plan that provides minimum direct care registered nurse staffing levels; prohibits health care facility from assigning unlicensed personnel to perform functions or tasks that should be performed by licensed or registered nurses; requires AHCA to post on its website information regarding health care facilities on which civil penalties have been imposed.
Drones; Expands authorized uses of drones by law enforcement agencies & other specified entities.
Unlawful Discrimination; Prohibits discrimination on basis of height or weight in specified areas; revises general purpose of Florida Civil Rights Act; revises function of Florida Commission on Human Relations; provides civil & administrative remedies for discrimination on basis of height or weight; provides exception to unlawful employment practices based on height or weight; reenacts provisions relating to administrative & civil remedies for violations of Florida Civil Rights Act.
Human Trafficking; Revises disposition of assets seized under specified provisions; requires defendants convicted of certain offenses to pay minor victim restitution; specifies factors to be used in calculation of restitution; provides procedures for issuance & amendment of such orders.
Companion Animal Public-Private Partnership Act; Prohibits animal shelters from euthanizing animals under certain conditions; requires animal shelters to release animals to rescue organizations; provides exceptions.
Juvenile Diversion Program Expunction; Removes requirement that limits diversion program expunction to programs for misdemeanor offenses.
Pub. Rec./Nonjudicial Arrest Record of a Minor; Provides exemption from public records requirements for nonjudicial record of arrest of minor who has successfully completed diversion program; provides for retroactive application; provides for future legislative review & repeal of exemption; provides statement of public necessity.
