Preemption Over Utility Service Restrictions; Prohibits certain local governmental entities, subject to specified exceptions, from enacting or enforcing resolution, ordinance, rule, code, or policy or from taking any action that restricts or prohibits or has effect of restricting or prohibiting use of appliances.
Physician Assistant Licensure; Revises requirements for applicant for licensure as physician assistant.
Chiefs of Police; Prohibits municipality from terminating chief of police without providing chief of police written notice; requires municipality to allow chief of police to appear & provide full & complete response to his or her termination at specified public meeting; prohibits employment contract from including certain provisions.
Clerks of Court; Revises collections requirements of clerk of court when party petitions for dissolution of marriage; revises collections requirements in probate matters; revises collections requirements of clerk of court in trial & appellate proceedings; revises allocation of filing fees in trial & appellate proceedings; revises collections requirements of clerk of court as it relates to fines, fees, service charges, & costs remitted to state.
Medicaid Coverage of Continuous Glucose Monitors; Requires AHCA, subject to availability of funds & certain limitations & directions, to provide coverage for continuous glucose monitors for certain Medicaid recipients; provides requirements for Medicaid recipients to continue receiving coverage for their continuous glucose monitors; requires agency to seek federal approval for implementation of act, if needed; requires agency to include rate impact of act in certain rates that become effective on specified date.
Monuments; Establishes Florida Space Exploration Monument; provides for administration of monument by DMS; provides for creation of design contest & selection committee; requires DMS to develop plan for design, placement, & cost of monument; requires plan to be submitted to Governor & Legislature by specified date.
Children's Initiative Projects; Revises objectives for specified working groups within Florida Children's Initiatives; provides that initiatives are administratively housed in DCF; exempts initiatives from control, supervision, or direction by DCF or any state department; requires initiatives to be managed by not-for-profit corporations.
Partisan Elections for Members of District School Boards; Proposes amendments to State Constitution to require members of district school board to be elected in partisan election.
Fishing and Hunting; Proposes amendment to State Constitution to preserve forever fishing, hunting, & taking of fish & wildlife as public right & preferred means of managing & controlling fish & wildlife; specifies amendment does not limit authority of FWCC.
Battery by Strangulation; Prohibits battery by strangulation.
