This resolution authorizes the Senate Legal Counsel to represent the Senate Committee on Armed Services and Thomas Kirk McConnell in the case of AO Alfa-Bank v. John Doe, et al . The resolution also authorizes Elizabeth King, Majority Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Armed Services, to provide a limited declaration sufficient to demonstrate the applicability of the Speech or Debate Clause privilege in this matter without waiving the committee's privilege.

Hunger-Free Summer for Kids Act of 2021 This bill revises the Summer Food Service Program to direct the Department of Agriculture to permanently establish electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards and off-site consumption as two alternative delivery options for certain children through schools and service institutions in the program. These options shall be available to a child only if (1) the child lives or attends school in a rural area or outside of an area in which poor economic conditions exist, and (2) the child is eligible for a free or reduced price lunch and breakfast. In the case of off-site consumption, the option is also available if the summer program is available to the child at a congregate feeding site but (1) the site is closed due to extreme weather conditions, (2) violence or other public safety concerns in the area prevent the child from traveling safely to the site, (3) the site is open not more than four days a week, or (4) the site provides only one meal per day. A state may not operate the EBT card option and the off-site consumption option simultaneously in the same area. Each state desiring to participate in the summer food service program shall include in its annual management and administration plan the state's plans for using one or both of these alternative delivery options.
Saving American History Act of 2021 This bill prohibits the use of federal funds by an elementary or secondary school to teach the 1619 Project or by a local educational agency (LEA) to support its teaching in public schools. (The 1619 Project is an initiative that addresses the beginning of slavery in the United States.) Specified federal agencies must reduce federal funds in a prorated amount to an elementary or secondary school that teaches this project or an LEA that supports its teaching in public schools. However, federal funding shall not be reduced for programs for low-income students (e.g., free or reduced-price lunch) or students with disabilities.
This resolution authorizes (1) Nicole Meservey, and any other current or former employee of Senator Mark Warner's office from whom relevant evidence may be necessary, to testify and produce documents in the case of United States v. Taylor (except concerning matters for which a privilege should be asserted); and (2) the Senate Legal Counsel to represent the Senator and any current or former employees of his office in connection with the case.
This resolution authorizes (1) Laura Bowen, and any other employee of the Senate Post Office from whom relevant evidence may be necessary, to testify and produce documents in the case of United States v. Dodd (except concerning matters for which a privilege should be asserted); and (2) the Senate Legal Counsel to represent any employees of such office in connection with the case.

Preventing Antisemitic Hate Crimes Act This bill requires a designated officer or employee of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to facilitate the expedited review of anti-Semitic hate crimes and reports of anti-Semitic hate crimes. Further, the bill requires DOJ to issue guidance for state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies on expanding public education campaigns to raise awareness of anti-Semitic hate crimes. Finally, the bill increases the statutory maximum prison term for an individual who is convicted of a federal hate crime offense after a prior conviction for a hate crime offense under federal law or a hate crime felony under state law.
