Upholding the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Law Act of 2021 This bill prohibits using federal funds to establish any diplomatic facility in Jerusalem other than the U.S. Embassy to Israel.
This resolution supports reopening the U.S. Capitol Building and House Office Buildings to visitors under the public visitation policies that were in place before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This bill prohibits the Department of the Treasury from (1) establishing or maintaining any verification process for access to online accounts of the Internal Revenue Service that uses biometric or geolocation information from mobile network operators; or (2) collecting, storing, or sharing such biometric or geolocation information without either express consent from the taxpayer to whom such information belongs or a court order.
DMEPOS Relief Act of 2022 or the DRA of 2022 This bill increases payment adjustments for certain items that were included in Round 2021 of the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Competitive Bidding Program but for which contracts were not executed. The bill applies to items that are furnished between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023, and that were not subject to the unadjusted fee schedule amount as of January 1, 2021. Under the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) sets payment for certain durable medical equipment under Medicare based on a competitive bidding process with suppliers, rather than the fee schedule amount. The CMS included 16 product categories in Round 2021 of the program but ultimately did not award contracts for 13 of these categories (that were also in previous rounds) as the resulting payment amounts did not achieve expected savings.
Designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 3903 Melear Drive in Arlington, Texas, as the "Ron Wright Post Office Building."
Strengthening Enforcement and Criminalizing Unlawful Records Enabling Flights Act or the SECURE Flights Act This bill prohibits the use of warrants and other documents issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as proof of identification at airport security checkpoints unless the individual is leaving the United States pursuant to immigration laws. If an individual uses prohibited documents as a proof of identification, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) must (1) inform ICE and local law enforcement to determine whether the individual is in violation of any term of release, and (2) collect the individual's biometric information unless the TSA can verify the individual is a U.S. national. The TSA must also submit the biometric information to a national biometric identification system.
Senior Citizens Tax Elimination Act This bill repeals the inclusion of any Social Security or tier I railroad retirement benefits in gross income for income tax purposes. The bill also (1) appropriates funds to cover reductions in transfers to the Social Security and Railroad Retirement Trust Funds resulting from the enactment of this bill, and (2) expresses the sense of Congress against using tax increases to provide revenue necessary to carry out this bill.
Financial Accountability for Uniquely Compensated Individuals Act or the FAUCI Act This bill broadens the scope of executive branch employees and officers whose financial disclosures are subject to automatic electronic publication by including highly compensated executive branch officers and employees. The bill also requires the Office of Government Ethics to provide public access to a list of highly compensated executive branch officers and employees who file confidential financial disclosures under existing law, including the specific types of information disclosed in the confidential report.
Empowering Local Officials to Combat Homelessness Act of 2022 This bill requires every Continuum of Care board to comply with transparency guidelines regarding grant awards and to have on the board at least one member who is the chief executive officer of a local government in the area and at least one member who is a law enforcement officer with jurisdiction in the area. The bill also requires the Government Accountability Office to conduct oversight of Continuum of Care boards that have violated Continuum of Care grant requirements within the past three years.
No Mandates Act This bill prohibits federal agencies and certain entities that receive federal funding from requiring COVID-19 vaccinations. Specifically, federal agencies may not issue rules, regulations, or guidance that require an individual to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. The bill also prohibits requiring a COVID-19 vaccination to access federal property and services or congressional grounds and services. Additionally, an entity that received federal COVID-19 relief funds or receives other federal funds after this bill's enactment may not require a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of providing any service to an individual.
