ABLE Age Adjustment Act

ABLE Age Adjustment Act This bill increases from 26 to 46 the age threshold for tax-favored ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) accounts. (ABLE accounts are designed to enable individuals with disabilities to save for and pay for disability-related expenses. To establish an account, an individual must have a qualifying impairment that began before the individual attained the age threshold.)

Broadband Competition and Efficient Deployment Act

Broadband Competition and Efficient Deployment Act This bill excludes the deployment or modification of certain telecommunications service facility projects from specified review requirements. Specifically, the bill excludes from specified environmental and historic preservation review a project for the placement, construction, or modification of a telecommunications service facility in or on infrastructure that supports or houses a facility for communication by wire.

Creating Hope and Opportunity through Increased Choice in Education Act

Creating Hope and Opportunity through Increased Choice in Education Act or the CHOICE Act This bill directs the Department of Education to make grants to parents of eligible students for certain education-related expenses. Eligible student refers to a student who (1) is served by a local educational agency that will not provide in-person instruction in a manner consistent with the 2019-2020 school year, and (2) is from a household with a household income that is less than 200% of the reduced-price lunch rate income. Grant funds may be used for tuition and fees for private elementary or secondary schools, private tutoring, home school expenses, or educational materials.

Safeguarding Oil and Gas Leasing and Permitting Act of 2021 This bill requires the President and the Department of the Interior to obtain the approval of Congress before implementing a moratorium on oil and gas leasing in the Gulf of Mexico region of the outer Continental Shelf.

You Must Be Alive To Vote Act of 2021 This bill requires each state, in order to receive certain education and transportation funds, to annually certify that the state has an agreement with the Social Security Administration to share death information for the purpose of removing the names of ineligible voters from the official list of eligible voters.

Small Business PPE Tax Credit Act

Small Business PPE Tax Credit Act This bill allows certain small businesses a tax credit for qualified personal protective equipment expenses, up to $25,000 in a taxable year. The entities eligible for such credit include farms, veterans organizations, and tribal business concerns. The bill defines qualified personal protective equipment expenses to include the cost of equipment for reducing the risk of coronavirus (i.e., the virus that causes COVID-19) transmission, including gloves, medical masks and protective gear, and cleaning supplies.
