AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 18 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO USE OF GENDER OR SEX AS A RATING FACTOR IN PERSONAL AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE POLICIES.

This bill prohibits the use of gender, gender identity, or sex as a rating factor in personal automobile insurance policies. The Gender Disparities in Auto Insurance Pricing Report issued by the Delaware Department of Insurance and Consumer Federation of America shows that many insured Delaware women are charged more than men even when all other factors, including drivers’ history, are the same. Six states have similar existing laws: California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 25 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE DELAWARE MANUFACTURED HOME RELOCATION AUTHORITY.

This Act compensates members of the Board of the Delaware Manufactured Home Relocation Authority ("Authority") $100 per meeting a board member attends. Under § 7041(b)(1), all costs for the Authority's operations must be paid from the Delaware Manufactured Home Relocation Trust Fund, § 7042 of Title 25.
