This Act provides supplementary appropriations to certain Grants-in-Aid for Fiscal Year 2018. Section 1 – Government Units and Senior Center $18,608,587 Section 2 – One-Times and Community Agencies $13,684,001 Section 3 – Fire Companies $4,712,084 Section 4 – Veterans Organizations $244,233 GRAND TOTAL $37,248,905
Section 1 of this bill moves the date of primary elections for statewide office, county office, and municipal office to the fourth Tuesday in April, which is the date of the presidential primary (in presidential election years). The dates for submitting and withdrawing notification of candidacy have been adjusted accordingly. Section 2 of the bill changes the deadline for a minor political party selecting its candidate at the party’s convention. Section 3 of the bill changes the deadline for filing certificates of nomination from September 1st to April 1st. Section 4 changes the “closed” period in which a voter is not allowed to change his or her political affiliation to match the 60-day limit in 15 Del. C. § 3189 for presidential primaries.

This Resolution recognizes June 27, 2017, as “Staff Appreciation Day” in the Delaware State Senate.
This Act prohibits insurance companies from revoking, or attempting to revoke, an offer of settlement made to an insured, except in circumstances where the insurer reasonably believes the insured has committed fraud against the insurer.
This Act prohibits insurance companies from frequently attempting to settle claims with their insureds for less than an amount a reasonable person would believe to be fair based on a common, verifiable compilation of valuation data, such as the NADA guides.
This resolution proclaims June 19, 2017, as Juneteenth Independence Day in Delaware and encourages the people of Delaware to reflect upon the significant roles and many contributions of African Americans and to celebrate this day with appropriate activities and events.
