HB 175: Relating to income taxes; to provide a one-time refundable income tax credit to qualified taxpayers to partially offset the amount of sales taxes paid on groceries throughout the tax year; to create the Refundable Tax Credit Fund in the State Treasury; to provide that refundable credits would not be taxable for Alabama income tax purposes; and to provide an effective date.
HB 230: Relating to crimes and offenses; to add Section 13A-6-30 to the Code of Alabama 1975, to create the crime of chemical endangerment of a first responder, to provide for an exception, and establish penalties for violations; and in connection therewith would have as its purpose or effect the requirement of a new or increased expenditure of local funds within the meaning of Section 111.05 of the Constitution of Alabama of 2022.
