Creating the legislative oversight committee on aviation development

This bill creates a new Legislative Oversight Committee on Aviation Development to monitor and guide state efforts in aviation. The committee, composed of 10 legislators (5 appointed by the Senate President and 5 by the House Speaker, with at least one minority member each), will study aviation trends, recommend funding needs, and coordinate with the Department of Economic Development and transportation agencies. It does not change existing aviation laws but establishes a formal process for reviewing policies related to airport development, air navigation facilities, and aviation technology research. The committee must report annually to the Legislature on its findings and recommendations.
