HB 368: Local Education Agencies - As introduced, prohibits an LEA from suspending or expelling a student enrolled in any of the grades pre-kindergarten through two unless the student's behavior endangers the physical safety of others; authorizes an LEA to suspend such a student for such behavior for no more than three days if certain measures are taken before the student is suspended. - Amends TCA Title 49.

HB 528: Consumer Protection - As introduced, limits the number of times that a real estate developer, business entity, or individual working on behalf of the developer or business entity is permitted to contact a property owner to make an unsolicited offer to buy the property owner's property; allows a property owner who believes a developer has violated the limitation to submit a complaint to the consumer affairs division in the office of the attorney general; adds additional requirements and penalties for a violation. - Amends TCA Title 40, Chapter 33, Part 2; Title 47 and Title 66.

HB 2646: Contracts - As introduced, requires that contracts entered into between a personal seat license (PSL) holder of 10 or more years and a professional sports franchise for the purchase of a subsequent PSL with an upgraded or improved seating classification include a provision that enables the PSL holder to purchase the subsequent PSL for the same price as the previous PSL; applies to all contracts for subsequent PSL purchases entered into for seating at stadiums in certain counties on or after July 1, 2024. - Amends TCA Title 7; Title 9; Title 16; Title 47 and Title 67.

SB 2125: TennCare - As introduced, requires that on and after July 1, 2025, a minor child who is enrolled in TennCare or the CoverKids program remains eligible for TennCare or the CoverKids program until the minor child reaches six years of age; prohibits the bureau from subjecting the minor child to a redetermination of eligibility or disenrollment except under certain circumstances; requires the director to submit any necessary federal waiver request by December 31, 2024. - Amends TCA Title 71.

SB 2889: Education - As introduced, requires local education agencies (LEAs) and public charter schools to recognize November 7 of each year as Victims of Communism Day to honor the people who have fallen victim to communist regimes across the world; requires LEAs and public charter schools to provide students enrolled in a world history and geography course with at least 45 minutes of instruction on Victims of Communism Day. - Amends TCA Title 15; Title 49, Chapter 1 and Title 49, Chapter 6.
