SB 585: Education, Higher - As enacted, revises the application process for dual enrollment grants; revises provisions governing state employees taking up to four courses per academic year at any state-supported college or university, college of applied technology, or the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute without paying tuition charges, maintenance fees, student activity fees, registration fees, or online course fees for courses taken through the regents online degree programs. - Amends TCA Title 49.

HB 1453: Tullahoma - Subject to local approval, changes the date, from the first Thursday to the first Friday in February, by which the board of mayor and aldermen must call for an election each year; lowers the minimum age, from 21 to 18, for a person to serve as mayor or alderman; removes requirement that members of the board acquire surety bonds. - Amends Chapter 553 of the Acts of 1903; as amended.
