SB 1288: Workers Compensation - As introduced, extends from December 31 to January 1, the date by which the bureau of workers' compensation must produce its annual report listing the name of each covered employer that failed, during the preceding state fiscal year, to provide workers' compensation coverage or qualify as a self-insured employer as required by law. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 50, Chapter 6 and Title 56.

SB 1290: Labor and Workforce Development, Dept. of - As introduced, requires the commissioner to ensure that a listing is made available to the public on the department of labor and workforce development's public website of apprenticeship programs that are mandated by state or federal law due to the program sponsor receiving funds or resources from the state or federal government and that are approved by the office of apprenticeship; requires the listing to be updated no less than twice annually. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 50; Title 62 and Title 67.

SB 1790: Local Education Agencies - As introduced, requires each local school board to establish a school lunch program and a school breakfast program that provide a free breakfast and lunch to each student enrolled in a school under the board's jurisdiction; requires the state to reimburse each LEA for the cost of providing a free breakfast and lunch to each student enrolled in the LEA after all available federal funds have been applied. - Amends TCA Title 49.

SB 1752: Scholarships and Financial Aid - As introduced, extends eligibility for a Tennessee Promise scholarship to students who are enrolled full-time in a private, for-profit trade school that has been approved by the Tennessee state board of cosmetology and barber examiners to operate in this state for at least 10 consecutive years, that is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences, Inc., and that is authorized by the Tennessee higher education commission to offer diploma programs in cosmetology, esthiology, and master barbering. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 4, Part 7.

SB 1724: School Transportation - As introduced, for the purpose of receiving the commissioner of safety's approval for a conventional or Class D school bus in its eighteenth year of service to be operated for additional years, requires the bus to have less than 300,000 miles, instead of less than 200,000 miles; requires a bus that has been approved to operate beyond its eighteenth year to be discontinued once it reaches 300,000 miles, instead of 200,000 miles. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 21.
