HB 1311: Salaries and Benefits - As introduced, requires the commissioner of labor and workforce development to set a state minimum hourly wage rate at not less than $10.10 per hour, adjusted annually to reflect inflation in accordance with the consumer price index; establishes a cause of action for employees if employers violate the state’s minimum hourly wage rate; sets the wage rate paid to blind persons employed by the state to the greater of the state minimum hourly wage rate or the federal minimum wage. - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 13; Title 39; Title 50; Title 67 and Title 71.

HB 1120: Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation - As introduced, requires the commissioner of mental health and substance abuse services to report to the health committee of the house of representatives and the health and welfare committee of the senate on or before January 15, 2018, concerning any restrictions and requirements from the federal department of health and human services imposed by federal law on substance abuse treatment programs that the department of mental health and substance abuse services contracts with or operates in order to provide treatment services. - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 33; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.
