SB 2087: Nurses, Nursing - As introduced, requires the executive director of the board of nursing to report concerning workforce needs for nurses in healthcare institutions and facilities in this state and the need for any beneficial changes to the educational training of nurses in order to meet those needs to the health committee of the house of representatives and the health and welfare committee of the senate on or before January 15, 2019. - Amends TCA Title 63.

HB 2194: Child Custody and Support - As introduced, establishes that parent who is awarded sole custody of child is not obligated to provide future child support for the child to noncustodial parent while custodial parent maintains sole custody; authorizes parent who is awarded sole custody after child support is ordered by court to petition for modification of child support order. - Amends TCA Title 36 and Title 71.

SB 2371: Financial Responsibility Law - As introduced, requires department of safety to send person whose license is subject to suspension for failing to maintain liability insurance, notice of intent that the person's driver license will be suspended in 45 days, rather than in 30 days, for failing to comply with department's payment plan for reinstatement; extends, from 30 to 45 days following the date of such notice, the time within which the person has to request a hearing to show compliance with the department's payment plan. - Amends TCA Title 55, Chapter 12; Title 55, Chapter 50 and Title 56.
