SB 375: Relating to the Good Neighbor Authority Agreement.

SB 375 amends Oregon law to add specific requirements for projects under the state's Good Neighbor Authority Agreement with federal land managers (US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management). It requires Oregon state agencies to prioritize projects that increase forest restoration services beyond what federal agencies would do alone (e.g., treating diseased trees, reducing fire fuels), maximize economic benefits for Oregon, and recover state costs. The bill also prohibits state participation in projects on Oregon and California Railroad Revested Lands. These changes aim to advance state goals of boosting timber production, creating jobs, reducing wildfire risks, and improving watershed health through collaborative forest management.
