Requires that a municipality ensure that a person issued a permit for work requiring a Construction Contractors Board license holds a Construction Contractors Board license. Requires the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services to inform the Construction Contractors Board when the director has reason to believe that a person is engaging, has engaged or plans to engage in a violation of laws regarding licensing and endorsement of construction contractors.
Directs the Oregon Public Defense Commission to study law changes needed to implement Senate Bill 337 (2023). Requires the commission to provide the results of the study to the appropriate interim committees of the Legislative Assembly no later than May 1, 2026. Sunsets January 2, 2027.
Provides that a person may not bring a civil action against an individual who, without malice, makes a communication regarding an incident of sexual assault, sexual harassment or sex discrimination if, at the time of making the communication, the individual has a reasonable belief that sexual assault, sexual harassment or sex discrimination occurred. Allows the prevailing defendant to recover attorney fees and provides for imposition of remedial sanctions against the plaintiff.
