This bill allows U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys in Oklahoma to carry firearms anywhere in the state if they complete a specific handgun qualification course developed by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET). It requires these federal prosecutors to obtain an identification card from CLEET and return it immediately if they lose eligibility. The law creates a formal process for federal prosecutors to legally carry weapons statewide, replacing previous restrictions on their firearm carry. The policy change takes effect November 1, 2026.
