HB 1844 updates Oklahoma's initiative petition form to require five specific data points per signature: the voter's legal first name, last name (matching their registration), zip code, house number, and the numerical month/day of their birth. For a signature to be valid, four or more of these data points must match the voter's registration record as verified by the Secretary of State. This applies to all initiative petitions at the state, county, city, or local level seeking to place measures on ballots. The bill becomes effective November 1, 2025.
