SB 952 requires school boards and municipal governing boards to provide free rooms in schools or municipal buildings as polling places. It also expands absentee voting access for physically incapacitated voters by allowing anyone aged 16 or older (not employed by or related to candidates) to serve as their agent and adding licensed midwives to the list of healthcare providers who can verify incapacity. The bill specifically includes expected childbirth on election day as a valid reason for absentee voting under this provision. These changes take effect November 1, 2025.
