Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System; providing for benefits increase.

SB 8 (Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System; providing for benefits increase) increases pension benefits for most Oklahoma firefighters. Effective July 1, 2026, eligible members receiving benefits under Section 49-101 will receive a 5% increase based on their current benefit amount. However, firefighters who joined the system before January 1, 1981, will have their increase offset by half of any salary changes for regular firefighters in their municipality.
