This bill updates Oklahoma laws regarding penalties for entering commercial businesses without permission. It specifically targets individuals who enter areas of a business commonly reserved for staff or clearly marked with "No Trespassing" signs. A first-time violation is classified as a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail, a fine of up to $500, or both. However, a second or subsequent offense for the same type of entry is elevated to a felony, carrying a potential sentence of up to two years in state prison or a fine of up to $1,000. The changes take effect on November 1, 2024.
