repealing the chapter relative to cash dispensing machines, relative to disability pensions for public safety employees who are victims of violence, and relative toestablishing the New Hampshire Canadian trade council fund.

This bill creates a new disability retirement benefit for public safety employees in New Hampshire who are permanently incapacitated by a purposeful, hostile, and violent attack while on duty. To qualify, the injury must be certified by the Commissioner of Safety as resulting from a physical assault with a deadly weapon that causes serious bodily injury, and the employee must have been found compensable by their employer or insurance carrier. The new provision allows these employees to receive a retirement allowance equal to their last 12 months of earnings or $75,000 annually, whichever is higher, without reduction for other work.
