This bill updates vehicle lighting laws to clarify rules for rideshare drivers and restrict certain aftermarket lights. It officially defines lighted signs used by transportation network companies as valid equipment and allows these vehicles to turn on their signs while stopped. The law also bans the use of aftermarket LED light bars and flood-style pod lights when a vehicle is being driven on public roads. Additionally, it maintains existing requirements for headlight brightness and color while specifying that fog lights may shine yellow. These changes take effect 60 days after the bill is signed into law.
