AN ACT relating to education; establishing statewide and regional work-based learning intermediary networks; creating the Work-Based Learning Intermediary Network Account; requiring the board of trustees of a school district or the governing body of a charter school to implement a policy to promote work-based learning programs and programs to prepare for apprenticeships; authorizing the board of trustees or the governing body to work with certain governmental and nongovernmental entities in developing and implementing the policy; authorizing the board of trustees and governing body to accept gifts, grants and donations and other forms of money to implement the policy; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 372: Revises provisions governing insurance coverage of emergency medical services. (BDR 57-940)

AN ACT relating to insurance; requiring a health carrier to cover medically necessary emergency services; requiring health carriers, under certain circumstances, to treat the deductible, copayment or coinsurance paid by the covered person for medically necessary emergency services as if the expenses were paid to a participating health care provider for the purposes of determining certain annual maximum payments; prohibiting health carriers from retroactively denying a claim for emergency medical services under certain circumstances; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 119: Revises provisions governing workers' compensation. (BDR 53-605)

AN ACT relating to industrial insurance; revising provisions governing the duty of certain insurers to accept or deny certain claims for compensation by police officers, firefighters and arson investigators; revising the standard of proof required for a police officer, firefighter or arson investigator to be entitled to compensation for an industrial injury; revising certain limitations on actions by police officers, firefighters and arson investigators for violations of the Nevada Industrial Insurance Act and the Nevada Occupational Diseases Act; revising provisions governing certain claims for compensation for the occupational diseases of cancer, lung disease, heart disease and hepatitis; providing penalties; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to education; establishing requirements for training certain educational governing bodies; requiring each school district and charter school to report certain information to the Department of Education; requiring the automated system of accountability information for Nevada to include certain information; requiring each member of the board of trustees of a school district to complete certain training within a certain timeframe after the election or appointment of the member; requiring certain conditions to be considered in calculating the basic support guarantee per pupil; requiring a report that contains certain information for the preceding school year to include certain additional information; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
