AN ACT relating to education; creating an exception to the requirement that students in the Nevada System of Higher Education complete instruction in the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Nevada for students who are enrolled in a course of study or training to become a teacher; repealing provisions requiring licensed teachers to complete training in the laws of this State relating to schools and the provisions of the Nevada Constitution relating to schools; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
AN ACT relating to education; requiring the Department of Education to prescribe by regulation a policy for all school districts and public schools to manage chronic absenteeism; requiring the board of trustees of a school district or the governing body of a charter school to adopt the policy prescribed by the Department, at a minimum, and provide for the training of certain persons in accordance with the adopted policy; requiring an advisory board to review school attendance to evaluate the effectiveness of the policy to manage chronic absenteeism adopted by the board of trustees of the school district or the governing body of a charter school in the county; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to education; encouraging the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada to establish a comprehensive system for the compensation of the unclassified employees of the Nevada System of Higher Education that contains certain provisions; encouraging the Board to evaluate factors relating to compensation of unclassified employees of the System and make recommendations to the Legislature; requiring the Board to annually report certain information to the Interim Finance Committee if it creates such a comprehensive system for the compensation of the unclassified employees of the System; requiring the Interim Finance Committee to make certain determinations regarding such a comprehensive system for the compensation of the unclassified employees of the System; providing for the separate transmission of certain budgetary information relating to such a comprehensive system for the compensation of the unclassified employees of the System in certain circumstances; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
AN ACT relating to taxes on retail sales; requiring the submission to the voters of the question whether the Sales and Use Tax Act of 1955 should be amended to provide an exemption from the tax for diapers; providing for the exemptions from certain analogous taxes if the voters approve this amendment to the Sales and Use Tax Act of 1955; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
AN ACT relating to contracts; establishing a rebuttable presumption that certain terms in certain form contracts are unconscionable; establishing certain remedies for the inclusion in a form contract of certain terms found by a court to be unconscionable; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
AN ACT relating to relations between local governments and public employees; authorizing the Local Government Employee-Management Relations Board to appoint a Deputy Commissioner; providing for the expiration of collective bargaining agreements between local governments and employee organizations other than employee organizations that represent police officers; authorizing a local government to choose not to negotiate with an employee organization other than an organization that represents police officers; making an appropriation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
AN ACT relating to taxation; authorizing a board of county commissioners to impose a sales tax for the support of certain programs; creating the Account for the Support of Academic Achievement; requiring a percentage of the revenue collected from the excise tax imposed on sales of marijuana and related products by a retail marijuana store to be deposited into the Account; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
AN ACT relating to coverage for health care; requiring an insurer under a policy of health insurance to continue coverage for a procedure, device, medication or other treatment for a chronic condition of an insured under certain circumstances; requiring a provider of health care to examine an insured before altering certain previously approved prescriptions; requiring a provider of health care to cooperate in a timely manner with pharmacists, insurers and pharmacy benefit managers with regard to certain coverage for an insured; limiting the frequency of prescription drug formulary changes; requiring that initial notice to an insured be sent not less than 60 days before a formulary change with a follow-up notice sent not less than 30 days before the formulary change; authorizing the imposition of a civil penalty for certain insurers and pharmacy benefit managers that violate the requirements concerning continued coverage; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to professions; authorizing a physician assistant to bill and be reimbursed by a patient directly; providing that physician assistants are not required to be supervised by a physician or an osteopathic physician when performing medical services; prescribing the services that a physician assistant is required or authorized to perform; increasing the membership of the Board of Medical Examiners and the State Board of Osteopathic Medicine; requiring two members of each of the Boards to be persons licensed to practice as a physician assistant in this State; providing certain exemptions from licensure and regulation by the Boards; revising provisions relating to a physician assistant whose license is on inactive status; revising provisions relating to the issuance of a license to practice as a physician assistant; prohibiting the respective Boards from requiring certain certifications before a person may renew a license to practice as a physician assistant; revising provisions relating to licensure by endorsement to practice as a physician assistant; authorizing certain unlicensed persons to use the title “physician assistant (inactive)”; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
