AB 211: Makes various changes concerning domestic relations. (BDR 11-123)

AN ACT relating to domestic relations; providing various penalties for persons who knowingly make false statements or present false documentary evidence in domestic relations proceedings; requiring the establishment of an independent review panel to observe domestic relations proceedings; requiring the establishment of an advocate group to provide assistance to veterans in domestic relations proceedings; requiring the establishment of a program for the supervised exchange of a child between certain persons; establishing the consequences resulting from a person who participates in such a program failing to appear at the designated time and place for the supervised exchange of the child; creating the Program for the Supervised Exchange of a Child Fund; making an appropriation; providing a penalty; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 313: Establishes an occupational licensing database for certain professions. (BDR 18-859)

AN ACT relating to occupational licensing; requiring the Executive Director of the Office of Workforce Innovation to establish a database of certain information relating to occupational licensing; requiring certain regulatory bodies to collect certain information from applicants for a license; requiring such regulatory bodies to submit a quarterly report to the Legislative Counsel Bureau containing such information; requiring the Legislative Counsel Bureau to transmit such information to the Office of Workforce Innovation; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 392: Encourages employers to provide work-based learning opportunities for pupils. (BDR 34-952)

AN ACT relating to education; requiring the Department of Education, the board of trustees of a school district and the governing body of a charter school to coordinate with the Office of Workforce Innovation in the Office of the Governor to certify work-based learning programs; establishing the requirements for an employer to become a work-based learning program; providing that a pupil in certain work-based learning programs is considered an employee for the purpose of workers' compensation; authorizing an insurer that provides workers' compensation to grant a reduction in the premium of the policy of a work-based learning organization; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 217: Revises provisions relating to firearms. (BDR 15-860)

AN ACT relating to firearms; requiring a sheriff to give priority in processing an application for a permit to carry a concealed firearm to an applicant who has a temporary order for protection; revising the deadline for submission of certain records to the Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History for inclusion in all appropriate databases of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 406: Revises provisions relating to certain businesses. (BDR 53-1016)

AN ACT relating to employment practices; provides for the sharing between certain parties to a transaction for contracted labor of responsibility for compliance with certain legal obligations placed on employers; authorizes certain workers to bring an action against a client company for the failure of a labor contractor to comply with certain legal obligations placed on employers; making it unlawful to retaliate against certain workers under certain circumstances; authorizing the Labor Commissioner and the Administrator of the Division of Industrial Relations of the Department of Business and Industry to adopt certain regulations; providing penalties; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to workforce development; requiring the board of trustees of a school district or the governing body of a charter school to implement a policy to promote work-based learning programs and programs to prepare for apprenticeships; authorizing the board of trustees or the governing body to work with certain governmental and nongovernmental entities in developing and implementing the policy; authorizing the board of trustees and governing body to accept gifts, grants and donations and other forms of money to implement the policy; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AN ACT relating to marijuana; authorizing a medical marijuana establishment or an association of medical marijuana establishments to participate in a program of workforce development to recruit, assess and train medical marijuana establishment agents; requiring the Office of Economic Development to ensure that minority-owned business enterprises, woman-owned business enterprises and disadvantaged business enterprises are involved in programs of workforce development in which medical marijuana establishments participate; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 449: Makes various changes relating to elections. (BDR 24-969)

AN ACT relating to elections; clarifying certain provisions relating to certified lists of candidates for office; revising the date by which a political subdivision is prohibited from making certain changes to the boundaries of an election district during an election year; revising outdated references to the Federal Elections Commission; setting forth certain provisions to determine the winner of a tie vote in certain primary elections; establishing certain protections for private property owners who rent private property for use as a polling place; revising certain provisions relating to indicating an affiliation or nonaffiliation with a political party on applications to register to vote; requiring county clerks and city clerks to publish notice of the deadlines to register to vote by mail, in person and by computer; revising certain provisions relating to prohibiting a person from voting more than once in the same election; requiring a committee for the recall of a public officer to report certain contributions and expenditures; requiring the Secretary of State to assign a title to a petition for initiative or referendum; revising requirements relating to persons who may sign a notice of intent to circulate a petition to recall a public officer; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
