AB 1: Revises provisions relating to public employment. (BDR 23-11)

AN ACT relating to programs for public personnel; temporarily increasing the limitation on the amount of annual leave that certain state employees are authorized to carry forward to the next calendar year; providing for a 1-month suspension during Fiscal Year 2020-2021 of the payment of subsidies by the State to the Public Employees' Benefits Program for group insurance for certain active and retired public officers and employees; requiring state employees to take a certain number of hours of unpaid furlough leave during Fiscal Year 2020-2021; providing exceptions to the furlough requirement; providing that employees who take certain furlough leave are held harmless in the accumulation of service credit and reported salary for retirement under the Public Employees' Retirement System; prohibiting the granting of any merit pay increases to state employees during Fiscal Year 2020-2021; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

AB 171: Revises provisions relating to the admission to state parks and recreational areas in this State by certain veterans. (BDR 35-4)

AN ACT relating to veterans; requiring the Division of State Parks of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to issue an annual permit for the free use of state parks and recreational areas in this State to certain veterans with any permanent service-connected disability; requiring the Administrator of the Division to reduce by at least $2 any entrance fee to state parks and recreational areas in this State charged to residents of this State who are veterans; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB 180: Revises provisions relating to the awarding of certain state purchasing contracts related to information technology. (BDR 27-739)

AN ACT relating to purchasing; requiring a state agency who awards a large contract for the procurement of an information system, information service or information technology to either withhold a certain percentage of any amount due under the contract as retainage or require the contractor to furnish a performance bond; requiring such a state agency to submit certain reports concerning the contract; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
