SB 246: Advanced practice registered nurses.

Requires the Indiana medical licensing board to accept and review complaints concerning physician collaborative practice agreements with advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs). Provides that an APRN may only: (1) operate in collaboration with a licensed practitioner who specializes in the same practice area as the advanced practice registered nurse; and (2) practice within the scope of the APRN's specialty. Allows a physician to enter into a collaborative agreement with more than four APRNs but prohibits the physician from collaborating with more than four APRNs at the same time.

SB 245: Abortion inducing drugs.

Provides that a person who knowingly or intentionally engages in the use of an abortion inducing drug, including Mifepristone or Misoprostol, on a pregnant woman without the knowledge or consent of the pregnant woman, commits a Level 5 felony. Prohibits a person from knowingly or intentionally sending Mifepristone or Misoprostol to another person located in Indiana, if the other person located in Indiana possesses the Mifepristone or Misoprostol. Provides that each offense is a Class A misdemeanor with a Level 6 felony for subsequent offenses. Adds Mifepristone and Misoprostol to the list of Schedule IV drugs.

HB 1029: Closed primaries.

Provides that a voter may vote at a primary election: (1) only if the voter has properly and timely affiliated with a political party; and (2) held by the political party with which the voter affiliates. Allows an individual, not later than December 31 before the date of a primary election, to affiliate with a political party at the time of voter registration or by submitting a party affiliation form. Requires each county voter registration office to mail a party affiliation form to particular voters not later than September 1, 2025. Specifies a notice that must be sent to certain voters who register to vote but do not list a political party affiliation. Makes conforming amendments.

HB 1224: Driving privilege cards.

Provides that an individual who is an Indiana resident and cannot provide proof of identity and lawful status in the United States may apply for a driving privilege card to obtain driving privileges. Sets forth the requirements to obtain a driving privilege card. Provides that a driving privilege card may not be used as identification for any state or federal purpose (other than to confer driving privileges), for the purpose of voting, or to verify employment. Requires an individual who holds a driving privilege card and operates a motor vehicle to verify and continuously maintain financial responsibility on any motor vehicle operated by the individual who holds the driving privilege card in the amount required by law. Provides that the bureau of motor vehicles may not disclose certain information unless presented with a lawful court order or judicial warrant. Requires an applicant for a driving privilege card or driving privilege card renewal to sign up for selective service. Requires the bureau of motor vehicles to submit an annual report to the legislative council and the interim study committee on roads and transportation. Makes conforming amendments. Makes technical corrections.
