Amends the Workers' Compensation Act. Makes a technical change to a Section concerning the Self-Insurers Advisory Board.
Amends the Property Tax Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the tax exemption for property used for religious purposes.
Amends the Illinois Pension Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning Chicago laborers and retirement board employees.
Amends the Telecommunications Article of the Public Utilities Act. Provides that if an incumbent local exchange carrier has received requests under the federal Telecommunications Act for interconnection, end users have the right to select their local exchange carrier.
Amends the Illinois Housing Development Act. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the homeless mentally ill.
Amends the Illinois Pension Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the General Assembly.
Amends the Child Care Act of 1969. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the definition of license applicant for the purpose of background investigations.
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning licenses.
Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Exempts the construction of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency's Emergency Operations Center, if the majority of funding is from federal funds, from provisions requiring separate bids for specified components of a construction contract exceeding a value of $250,000. Effective immediately.
Amends the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.
Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that no person may knowingly engage in, sponsor, instigate, assist, or profit from the killing or wounding of an animal for the purpose of sport, amusement, attainment or production of a trophy, or collection of a prize, if the animal is confined in a man-made enclosure or otherwise restrained from engaging in normal movement. Also prohibits the sale or purchase of any animal, or any part of an animal, killed or wounded in that way. Applies to exotic mammals brought into this State as well as Illinois game and fur-bearing mammals; exempts native white-tailed deer. Prohibits the operation of exotic game hunting areas and the importation of exotic mammals for hunting purposes. Makes violation a business offense, subject to a fine of not less than $500 and not more than $5,000 or twice the amount of financial gain realized by the person from the commission of the violation.
Amends the School Construction Law. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning carry over projects.
