SB 562: ATM REVERSE PIN SENDS ALARM

Amends the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. Provides that terminals must be designed and programmed so that the entry of a consumer's personal identification in reverse order causes an alarm to be sent to the local law enforcement agency.

SB 1503: INCOME WITHHOLD SUPPORT-PENALT

Amends the Income Withholding for Support Act. Provides that a payor who knowingly fails to pay on time the amount designated in an income withholding notice to the State Disbursement Unit (whether or not the payor withheld the amount) must pay a $100 per day penalty for each day the payment is late.

SB 1347: PROBATE-SUMMARY ADMIN-$100,000

Amends the Probate Act of 1975. Provides that a decedent's estate qualifies for summary administration if the gross value of the estate does not exceed $100,000 (rather than $50,000).

Amends the Voluntary Payroll Deductions Act of 1983. Requires the solicitation of State and university employees hired after the official solicitation period, by providing them with the most recent campaign information. Effective immediately.

HB 532: CRIM PRO-ARREST-JURISDICTION

Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Provides that a peace officer may conduct temporary questioning and make arrests in any jurisdiction within this State if the officer, while on duty as a peace officer, is requested by an appropriate State or local law enforcement official to render aid or assistance to the requesting law enforcement agency that is outside the officer's primary jurisdiction.

HB 2265: TELCO CONTRACT FILING ICC

Amends the Telecommunications Article of the Public Utilities Act. Authorizes the filing of a tariff by a telecommunications carrier pursuant to which the carrier may enter into contracts with individual customers for the provision of competitive services. Provides that only notice of the contract need be filed with the Illinois Commerce Commission (now the contract must be filed). Effective immediately.

HB 2553: NURSING-QUALIFICATIONS FOR LIC

Amends the Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act. Provides that an applicant for registered nurse licensure or licensed practical nurse licensure shall have graduated, or will graduate prior to testing, from an approved program. Effective immediately.
