PROPERTY – Adds to existing law to provide that certain subdivisions of land are exempt from subdivision requirements.

This bill creates an exemption from Idaho's standard land subdivision requirements for certain family land transfers. It allows landowners to divide their property and transfer it to immediate family members without needing a subdivision permit, provided specific conditions are met. The law defines immediate family as children, spouses, siblings, parents, and grandparents, and requires the land to have been held for at least five or ten years depending on when it was titled. Additionally, parcels smaller than five acres created through this process cannot be further subdivided without a permit, and the exemption applies to both individual owners and certain business entities where family members hold significant ownership.
