Allows the synchronization of plan participants' medications. Requires plans, policies, contracts, or agreements that are offered by health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations and provide prescription drug benefits, to apply prorated daily cost-sharing rates for prescriptions dispensed by network pharmacies for less than a thirty-day supply. Requires the Department of Health to furnish, free of charge, certified copies of birth certificates for any individual who is homeless, provided the individual's homeless status is corroborated by a verification letter issued by a homeless service provider. Repeals June 30, 2021. (HB2694 CD1)
Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds to assist Kunoa Cattle Company, LLC, to fund the construction of a multi-species livestock farm, expansion of the slaughter and processing infrastructure, development of distribution assets and agritourism services, and expansion of renewable energy assets. Establishes a two-year Agricultural Theft and Vandalism Pilot Project to examine the effectiveness of prosecuting agricultural theft and agricultural vandalism in the County of Hawaii. Appropriates moneys to the Agribusiness Development Corporation to identify factors that affect the quality of local papaya and to develop and establish protocols to enhance the marketability of Hawaiian papayas. Appropriates moneys for laptop computers or tablets to be used by teachers and students for digital teaching and learning.
