HB 811: RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Extends the safe harbor provisions found in section 45 of Act 181, Session Laws of Hawaii 2017, until 7/1/20 to provide sufficient time for condominium property regimes to update their developer's public reports. Excludes time share plans from the developer public reporting and related requirements. (HB811 HD2)

SB 161: RELATING TO TAXATION.

Provides to a taxpayer who hires an individual with a disability a nonrefundable tax credit for the 12-month period after the individual is initially hired by the taxpayer. Applies to taxable years beginning after 12/31/2019. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

SB 1505: RELATING TO HARBORS.

Authorizes the department of transportation to make harbor facilities temporarily available as a harbor of safe refuge when the National Weather Service forecasts a tropical storm or hurricane strength cyclones, unless specifically prohibited by the United States Coast Guard Captain of the Port. Establishes a working group to create a plan of action for small vessels during a tropical storm or hurricane strength cyclones and to examine the feasibility of making harbor facilities temporarily available as a harbor of safe refuge to small vessels. Requires the working group to report to the legislature. (SD1)

SB 429: RELATING TO GENDER IDENTIFICATION.

Requires a license to include a person's full legal name, date of birth, gender category, residence address, and license or identification card number. Includes a third option of gender identification for driver's license and state identification card applicants. Effective 7/1/2020.

SB 1370: RELATING TO CESSPOOLS.

Establishes a grant program to assist lessees on Hawaiian home lands with cesspool upgrade, conversion, or connection costs. Establishes that a recipient of a cesspool upgrade grant shall not be eligible for the cesspool upgrade, conversion, or connection income tax credit and vice versa. Appropriates moneys for the grant program. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

SB 740: RELATING TO HOUSING DENSITY.

Authorizes each county to adopt ordinances establishing a minimum housing density on state lands that are within an urban district and zoned for development or redevelopment. Allows developers to be exempt from this requirement under certain conditions. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

SB 1362: RELATING TO THE CONVEYANCE TAX.

Raises the conveyance tax rates for residential investment properties with a value of at least $2,000,000. Exempts affordable housing qualified by the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation from the conveyance tax. (SD1)

SB 1534: RELATING TO CONSUMER PROTECTION.

Prohibits ticket sellers from disclosing ticket purchasing information to any third party unless the ticket seller has received consent from the ticket purchaser. Prohibits ticket sellers from disclosing ticket purchasers' personally identifiable information. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)
