SB 1313: RELATING TO THE HAWAII EMPLOYER-UNION HEALTH BENEFITS TRUST FUND.

Enables the board of trustees of the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund to establish appropriate salaries for the Administrator and Chief Investment Officer of the Trust Fund. (CD1)

SB 435: RELATING TO PUBLIC WORKS.

Orders the person or firm found to be in violation of the state law governing wages and hours of employees on public works to be jointly and severally liable for the penalty, with the penalty increasing for repeat violations. Requires each notice of violation to contain the names of the person and the firm. Defines a "person" and "firm" for purposes of violations of the state law governing wages and hours of employees on public works, and related penalties and suspension. Requires the director of labor and industrial relations to suspend the person and firm under specified conditions. (CD1)

HB 650: RELATING TO HEALTH.

Authorizes advanced practice registered nurses to practice medical-aid-in-dying. Authorizes licensed advanced practice registered nurses and clinical nurse specialists with psychiatric or mental health training and licensed marriage and family therapists to provide counseling to a qualified patient. Reduces from twenty to five days, the mandatory waiting period between the two oral requests required for a qualified patient to obtain a prescription for medication. Waives the mandatory waiting period for terminally ill qualified patients who are not expected to survive the mandatory waiting period. (SD1)
