HB 1497: RELATING TO THE HAWAII COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.

Establishes the Stadium Development District comprising all state land under the Stadium Authority's jurisdiction. Authorizes HCDA to facilitate the development of all state property within the District including building a new stadium. Authorizes the issuance of revenue bonds and general obligation bonds. Appropriates funds. Effective 1/1/2050. (SD1)

HB 854: RELATING TO FOOD DONATION.

Includes education about exemption from food donation liability in the health inspection process for food establishments. Provides an exception from liability for good-faith donors and distributors of perishable and nonperishable food who comply with commercial food safety requirements and reasonably believe that the food is fit for human consumption. SB 1521: RELATING TO PHARMACY BENEFIT MANAGERS.

Establishes contract, cost disclosure, reimbursement, appeals, and information protection requirements for pharmacy benefit managers that contract with small, independent, and isolated pharmacies. Establishes enforcement jurisdiction in the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. (SB1521 HD1)

HB 287: RELATING TO VACANT AND ABANDONED RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY.

Requires counties to establish expedited procedures to approve demolition permits for vacant and abandoned residential homes. Allows the department of taxation to seek sale of the property through nonjudicial foreclosure of vacant and abandoned residential properties with outstanding recorded state tax liens at any time after establishing vacancy and abandonment. Takes effect 1/28/2081. (SD1)

SB 816: RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

Appropriates funds to resolve the compensation differential for certain union members for the modified terms, conditions, and compensation practices caused by the transfer of the use and exclusive management and operations of Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital, and Lanai Community Hospital from the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation to Maui Health System.
