SB 853: RELATING TO LOBBYISTS.

Makes changes to the laws governing lobbyists. Amends the definition of "expenditure," "lobbyist," and "lobbying." Allows a person who employs a lobbyist to file a notice of termination. Amends reporting requirements for reports covering special sessions of the legislature. Requires that lobbyist registration statements be posted on the state ethics commission's website within a reasonable time after filing and remain on the website for at least 4 years.

HB 562: RELATING TO DENTISTRY.

Clarifies that a dentist who has not successfully completed the education specified for the dental specialty as defined by the American Dental Association may be subject to license suspension or revocation or a fine if the dentist uses words or phrases in advertising that are similar to the existing list of prohibited words or phrases. Expands the prohibited words or phrases to include "dentistry for children".

SB 956: RELATING TO STATEWIDE INTEROPERABLE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS.

Provides for the establishment of a statewide governance system that includes an interoperability executive board to set the overarching policy, guidance, and direction for statewide interoperable public safety communications. Provides a mechanism to ensure timely funding of public safety interoperable communications systems by authorizing surcharges on various motor vehicle citations and criminal penalties to be deposited into a statewide interoperable public safety communications trust fund which can then be used to pay for, or offset costs of, public safety telecommunications systems and, if identified necessary, human resources.

SB 741: RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION.

Requires a workers' compensation impartial exam to be conducted by a doctor whose specialty is appropriate for the injury to be examined in cases where the director of labor and industrial relations appoints a doctor to conduct an exam. Appropriates funds for the purpose of this measure.

SB 937: RELATING TO GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND PREMIUMS.

Amends section 39-6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to allow premiums received from the sale of general obligation bonds to be used for eligible capital expenditures pursuant to section 39-2, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
