SB 913: RELATING TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS.

Facilitates the deployment of high-speed broadband infrastructure in Hawaii, allow small wireless facilities to be placed on state and county utility poles, structures and on light standards, subject to rates, terms, and conditions.

HB 1538: RELATING TO MARIJUANA.

Prohibits the provision of marijuana and related compounds to minors under 18. Prohibits minors under 18 to purchase marijuana or related compounds. Prohibits cultivation of marijuana on state or county property. Authorizes cultivation of marijuana on private property under certain conditions. Prohibits sharing proceeds from marijuana cultivation with criminal groups. Establishes fines for violations. Repeals other criminal penalties related to possession, cultivation, distribution, and use of marijuana and related compounds.

HB 1356: RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH, ILLNESS AND ADDICTION.

Requires attending medical professionals to refer patients to mental health treatment programs or facilities when they are discharged from emergency examination and hospitalization and determined not to be imminently dangerous to self or others.

HB 1368: RELATING TO BORN ALIVE INFANTS.

Ensures the protection and promotion of the health and well-being of all infants born alive the State. Mandates medically appropriate and reasonable life-saving and life-sustaining medical care and treatment to all born alive infants. Provides civil and criminal penalties.

HB 929: RELATING TO HEALTH.

Adds specific requirements to Hawaii's existing sexuality health education law. Requires the BOE and DOE to collaborate to provide curricula information to the public. Requires students to be excused from the provided instruction upon written request by a parent or guardian.
