SB 121: RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Expands the scope of the condominium education trust fund to cover voluntary binding arbitration between interested parties. Amends the conditions that mandate mediation and exceptions to mandatory mediation. (SD1)

SB 325: RELATING TO MEDICAL MARIJUANA.

Specifies that ten per cent of general excise tax revenues collected from medical marijuana dispensaries and ten per cent of gross income generated by each entity that holds a medical marijuana dispensary license shall be allocated to the mental health and substance abuse special fund. Authorizes moneys in the mental health and substance abuse special fund to be used for the payment of the operating expenses of mental health and substance abuse programs operated by the State. (SD1)

SB 549: RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Requires remote schools to be allocated funds using categorical allotments, rather than through the weighted student formula. Defines a remote school as any public school that is a high school located at least a one-hour drive away from the next nearest high school or a high school located on the island of Lanai, Molokai, or Niihau.

SB 506: RELATING TO SEXUAL ASSAULT.

Requires annual reporting to the legislature by the AG of statistical data pertaining to the testing of sexual assault evidence collection kits. Provides certain rights to sexual assault survivors. Institutes mandatory testing requirements in accordance with AG guidelines. Requires AG to report to the legislature on the progress of implementing AG guidelines. (SD1)

SB 108: RELATING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.

Requires law enforcement agencies, including county police departments, to make personnel knowledgeable in the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) approach. Requires law enforcement officers, including county police officers, to implement the LEAD approach.
