SB 378: RELATING TO LAND USE.

Allows county councils to establish Neighborhood Revitalization Boards to be administered by the counties for the purpose of developing neighborhood revitalization plans for areas in each county. Allows Neighborhood Revitalization Boards to request funding and requires the counties to provide an unspecified percentage of matching funds for any neighborhood revitalization plan or project that receives state funds.

HB 656: RELATING TO CHILD CARE FACILITIES.

Requires the Department of Human Services to post on its website reports of child care facility inspections beginning with inspections occurring after 12/31/2019, and suspected or actual complaint violations, including the Department of Human Services' findings and corrective actions. Appropriates funds to implement and comply with the reporting requirements for child care facilities.

SB 886: RELATING TO THE RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

Expands the rental assistance program by increasing the minimum percentage of affordable units a rental housing project is required to maintain for eligible tenants from twenty per cent to thirty per cent. Decreases the qualifying maximum ceiling from eighty per cent to thirty per cent of the area median income for a family or individual to be an eligible tenant under the rental assistance program. Appropriates moneys to support new rental assistance program contracts.

SB 1012: RELATING TO FLUORIDATION.

Requires suppliers of public water with one thousand or more service connections to fluoridate public water systems. Requires the department of health to reimburse suppliers of public water for initial capital expenses incurred for fluoridating public water systems, provide suppliers of public water with technical assistance and training, and, with the cooperation of the suppliers of public water, submit a report to the legislature regarding the implementation of fluoridating the public water systems.

SB 447: RELATING TO ELECTIONS.

Prohibits campaign contributions from certain entities to members of the legislature during the legislative session, for five days following adjournment sine die, and during a special session. Prohibits a member of the legislature from knowingly soliciting or accepting a contribution from a lobbyist or a lobbyist's principal during a legislative session, for five days following adjournment sine die, and during a special session. Prohibits fundraisers for any member of the legislature to be held during any regular legislative session, for five calendar days following adjournment sine die, and during a special session. Takes effect on 1/1/2020.

SB 633: RELATING TO FIRE PROTECTION.

Establishes a tax credit of thirty per cent of the actual cost, including installation, water meter, and permitting fees, not to exceed $10,000, for an automatic fire sprinkler system installed in any new, one- and two-family dwelling in a building used only for residential purposes. Repeals on 6/30/2027.
