SB 1455: RELATING TO DISINTERMENT OF HUMAN BODIES.

Allows private cemeteries in good standing with the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to disinter and reinter human bodies within the same cemetery without filing an application for a permit with the Department of Health.

HB 1161: RELATING TO INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN.

Appropriates funds for the establishment of four full-time equivalent (4.0 FTE) permanent level 5 investigators and three full-time equivalent (3.0 FTE) permanent investigative analyst positions within the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in the Department of the Attorney General.

HB 1286: RELATING TO HEALTHCARE.

Establishes a single-payer healthcare system in Hawaii by transferring Prepaid Health Care Act functions to the EUTF and the functions and duties of the Hawaii Health Authority (Department of Budget and Finance) to a newly established State Health Care Insurance Planning and Financing Authority, governed by a nine-member commission, under the Department of Health. Makes an appropriation.

HB 1545: RELATING TO VOTER REGISTRATION.

Beginning on 1/1/2020, requires that any person who is eligible to vote and submits a high school graduation voter registration form shall be automatically registered to vote if that person is not already registered to vote; provided that, upon receipt of notification from the respective county clerk, the applicant shall have 21 calendar days to opt out of automatic voter registration. Appropriates funds.

HB 1233: RELATING TO PERSONAL INJURY PROTECTION BENEFITS.

Increases maximum limit for personal injury protection coverage. Expands personal injury protection benefits to include services that are included in calculating medical expense deductions under the United States Internal Revenue Code, including necessary travel to receive medical treatment.
