SB 990: RELATING TO FOREST STEWARDSHIP.

SB 601: RELATING TO THE KING KAMEHAMEHA CELEBRATION COMMISSION.

Amends the membership, mission, and purpose of the King Kamehameha Celebration Commission. Adds representation for the island of Lana‘i. Authorizes the Chairperson to appoint an advisory committee for historical and archival matters. Authorizes the Commission to appoint an Executive Director. Creates the King Kamehameha celebration special fund. Makes an appropriation. Effective 12/24/88. (SB601 HD1)

SB 372: RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE.

Requires motor vehicle insurers to make satisfactory arrangements with the insurance commissioner to handle claims and service policies within the State. Specifies that motor vehicle insurers are required to maintain at least one physical sales and claims service office in each county. Requires the insurance commissioner to submit a report to the legislature, each year for five years, regarding any consumer complaints received as a result of changing the requirements for motor vehicle insurers to maintain a field presence in Hawaii. Takes effect on 7/1/2050. Repeals on 6/30/2022. (SD1)

HB 738: RELATING TO FUEL CELL ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

Includes fuel cell electric vehicles in the definition of "electric vehicles" for purposes of parking exemptions, HOV lane use, registration, and required parking spaces in places of public accommodation. Grants procurement priority for fuel cell electric vehicles for state and county vehicle purchases. (HB738 HD1)

SB 151: RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Enables condominium associations to adopt rules and regulations that: require unit owners to prohibit smoking inside a condominium unit as part of a lease agreement; and prohibit smoking on a lanai of a condominium unit and in all common elements. Takes effect 7/1/2050. (SD1)

SB 725: RELATING TO BONDS.

Restricts the use of general obligation or revenue bond proceeds to pay for the unfunded pension or other post-employment benefit liabilities accrued for state employees or retirees, by requiring a two-thirds majority vote of each house of the legislature to enact legislation that authorizes the use of bond proceeds for such purposes. Effective August 30, 2050. (SD1)

SB 910: RELATING TO RENEWABLE FUELS TAX CREDIT.

Replaces the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism requirements related to the certification, administration and verification of the renewable fuels production tax credit with a survey. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

HB 961: RELATING TO FARMERS.

Excludes for state income tax purposes a portion of income earned by farmers who grow or raise food or value–added food products and whose annual gross income does not exceed a certain amount. Applies to taxable years beginning after 12/31/2017. (SD1)
