HR 1415: Master Sgt. Gary I. Gordon Memorial Highway; Richmond County; dedicate

This bill designates a 4.5-mile stretch of U.S. 78/U.S. 278/State Route 10 in Augusta-Richmond County (from Willhaven Drive east to Belfair Lakes Drive) as the "Master Sgt. Gary I. Gordon Memorial Highway." It honors Master Sgt. Gordon, a U.S. Army Special Operations sniper who died protecting wounded soldiers during the 1993 Mogadishu mission, by dedicating the road in his memory. The resolution directs Georgia's Department of Transportation to install and maintain appropriate signage along the designated highway segment. This is a commemorative measure with no policy or regulatory changes.
