Operation and Administration of the Baker Act; Requiring the Department of Children and Families to provide specified information to certain individuals and organizations; requiring the department to maintain an information handbook and repository of answers to frequently asked questions, etc.
OGSR/Victim of an Incident of Mass Violence; Amending a provision which provides an exemption from public records requirements for the address of a victim of an incident of mass violence; removing the scheduled repeal of the exemption, etc.
Partisan Election of Members of District School Boards; Proposing amendments to the State Constitution to require members of a district school board to be elected in a partisan election, etc.
OGSR/Written Valuations of Surplus Lands; Amending a provision which provides an exemption from public records requirements for written valuations of surplus lands, documents used to form or pertaining to such a valuation, and written offers to purchase surplus land held by a water management district; removing the scheduled repeal of the exemption, etc.
Individual Education Plans; Requiring individual education plans for certain students to contain information and instruction on certain legal rights and responsibilities that transfer to students at the age of 18; requiring such information to include ways in which a student may provide informed consent to allow his or her parent to continue to participate in his or her educational decisions; requiring the State Board of Education to adopt rules, etc.
Catalytic Converters; Prohibits person who is not registered secondary metals recycler from purchasing detached catalytic converter; requires recycler to comply with specified requirements; prohibits person from possessing, purchasing, selling, or installing stolen, altered, or detached catalytic converter; provides for inference that catalytic converter may have been stolen; prohibits import, manufacture, specified purchase, sale, or installation of counterfeit, fake, or nonfunctional catalytic converter; prohibits recycler from processing or removing detached catalytic converter from recycler's place of business for specified period; provides exceptions.
Authorization of Restriction Concerning Dogs; Authorizes public housing authorities to adopt certain policies relating to dogs; restricts types of ordinances & policies that may be adopted; removes exemption for local breed-specific ordinances adopted before specified date.
Gender Clinical Interventions; Authorizes court of state to enter, modify, or stay child custody determination under specified circumstances; prohibits persons & entities from expending funds for reimbursement for specified clinical interventions; prohibits person's biological sex from being changed on birth certificate; prohibits gender clinical interventions for minors; authorizes certain persons to refuse to participate in gender clinical interventions; prohibits health insurance policy & health maintenance contract from providing coverage for gender clinical interventions; provides physician liability & authorizes award of specified damages, fees, & costs.
High School Equivalency Diplomas; Prohibiting a district school board from requiring certain students to take a course before taking the high school equivalency examination unless the student failed to earn a passing score on a specified practice test, etc.
Protection of Children; Prohibits governmental entity from issuing permit or otherwise authorizing person to conduct performance in violation of certain provisions; authorizes Division of Hotels & Restaurants of DBPR to fine, suspend, or revoke license of any public lodging establishment or public food service establishment if establishment admits child to adult live performance; provides violation constitutes immediate serious danger to public health, safety, or welfare; authorizes division to impose specified fines for violations; specifies division may revoke or suspend license of person found to be maintaining licensed premises that admits child to adult live performance; prohibits person from knowingly admitting child to adult live performance.
Pub. Rec./Judicial Assistants; Adds current judicial assistants & their spouses & children to specified agency personnel & family members to whom exemption from public records requirements applies; provides for retroactive application of exemption; provides for future legislative review & repeal of exemption; provides statement of public necessity.
Domestic Violence; Requires court with jurisdiction over dissolution of marriage proceeding to consider factors in deciding whether shared parental responsibility is detrimental to child; provides additional conduct relating to domestic violence which court must consider when ordering parenting plan; provides additional factor court must consider in determining whether petitioner of domestic violence injunction is in imminent danger.
