Appellate Courts Headquarters and Travel; Revises provisions governing payment of subsistence & travel reimbursement for certain Supreme Court justices & DCA judges; authorizes certain DCA judges to have facility in their county of residence designated as their official headquarters; provides that county is not required to provide space for judges; authorizes counties to enter into agreements with DCA for use of county courthouse space; prohibits district court of appeal from using state funds to lease space to establish judge's official headquarters.
Emergency Reporting; Requires DEM to create list of reportable incidents; requires political subdivision to report certain incidents; authorizes DEM to establish guidelines for reporting; requires DEM to annually provide list of reportable incidents to certain entities.
Asbestos Trust Claims; Requires plaintiff to provide certain materials after filing asbestos claim; authorizes defendant to seek discovery from asbestos trust; prohibits plaintiff from barring discovery or claiming privilege or confidentiality; specifies legal relevancy of asbestos trust claims materials & trust governance documents; requires trial court to adjust certain judgments under specified conditions.
Juvenile Diversion Program Expunction; Removes requirement that limits diversion program expunction to programs for misdemeanor offenses.
Inmate Welfare Trust Funds; Requires specified proceeds & funds be deposited into State-Operated Institutions Inmate Welfare Trust Fund; prohibits deposits exceeding specified amount per fiscal year; requires excess be deposited into General Revenue; requires that funds be used exclusively for specified purposes; provides an appropriation. Intermediate Care Facilities; Requires facilities that have been granted certificate-of-need exemption to demonstrate & maintain compliance with specified criteria; provides exemption from certificate-of-need requirement for certain intermediate care facilities; limits number of certain exemptions granted by AHCA; provides for termination of certain exemptions after specified period; requires AHCA to monitor progress of exemption holders; provides for future legislative review & repeal.
Home Medical Equipment Providers; Exempts allopathic, osteopathic, & chiropractic physicians who sell or rent electrostimulation medical equipment & supplies from licensure requirements under certain circumstances.
